Fish has a bone to pick with Greg in this episode. Felicity wants to take the newly-vacated role of Greg’s assistant at the health center. Jim, a guy who does work-study at the health center, wants the position, too. Greg has to hire someone and wants it to be Felicity. Greg and Felicity also decide to go on a date. Greg: Egregious perpetrator of the #metoo movement, or just a badly-written scenario? Let the Melissa and Fish debate begin!
Richard is now assisting Sean in the making of the Docuventary, because the Independent Film Channel needs more content! Ben doesn’t want to be interviewed again, but gets roped in because Felicity is doing it (even though she doesn’t want to, either). All of our main cast gets interviewed about each other, their love lives, and whatever else Sean and Richard can get them to talk about. Noel loses the blue books for his class’ test, and it all gets documented on film!
Ben is being forced to complete his community service hours quickly, and we get the pleasure of seeing him do a variety of jobs to make up that time, including cafeteria dishwasher, admissions office file clerk, and CAMpus security.
Plus, Ben uses his admissions office job to look up Greg’s student file and becomes concerned when he learns that Greg was previously arrested for possessing cocaine. When he finds out that Greg is dating Felicity, he confronts Greg about his past.

Leila Foster shows up at the health center and asks Felicity for an appointment to get the morning after pill. Greg lets Felicity know that – due to a trustee decision in the last year – the health center no longer administers the morning after pill. Felicity gets riled up, does some research on protests, and sets the wheels in motion to start a sit-in at the health center. Burkey helps with promotion to get a bunch of people in the door, and media interest develops from the NY Times and a TV crew.
Julie confides in Felicity that she is having nightmares about Zack. Felicity encourages her to talk to a counselor, because talking it out may help. And it's a good thing she does that, because when Felicity falters as the spokesperson on live TV, Julie jumps in and speaks her mind – and her story – on behalf of the protestors.
The trustees cave, the protestors win the battle, and Felicity kisses Greg in excitement!
Noel tutors Ben in philosophy. Every little thing they do in this episode is magic, from flying beer cans to a living room brawl to mutual misery from their hangovers. Are you ready for another long podcast? We're sorrrrry. We're sorry. We're very sorry.

Ben tries to go on a date with the perfect, wonderful Pam, but isn’t into it. His heart is with Felicity. Sean tells Ben to go talk with Felicity about it, and Ben makes a beeline for the health center to declare his love...just in time to see Felicity and Greg celebrating a passed health center review.
Felicity hangs out with her dad after a couple of weeks of not meeting up with him. When she drops by his apartment, she finds all of his belongings still boxed up, and she discovers that he is taking sleeping and anti-anxiety pills.
Greg is stressed as he gets the health center ready for its review. He is down a doctor or two, and Felicity offers up her father to volunteer. But when Dr. Porter shows up late on the day of the all-important review, she discovers that her father no longer works at the university hospital and confronts him.
Meghan continues to hit on Greg, who is officially her flavor.
Ruby starts to withdraw from Noel, expecting that he won’t be there for her as she has her baby. In the end, he decides that he will be there for her…as a friend.
Finally, Tracy seduces Elena by being a super genius, turning on the cockiness/charm, and sparking her competitive side, which both frustrates and attracts her.

This is a historic podcast. Why? Well, you'll just have to listen to find out!
No one wants to look at the terrible wallpaper in Elena and Noel’s apartment anymore (including Fish), so Elena decides to host a painting party for the whole crew. All of our main characters converge on Noel and Elena’s apartment for a wild scene of dancing, love triangles, Meghan drooling over Greg, and tactless pregnancy speculation.
Noel panics over Ruby's pregnancy. Then, at the ultrasound, the couple finds out that Ruby got pregnant while she was in LA!
Ben is the empathy king in this episode, becoming a confidant for Noel, who is now his TA since Pavone assigned Ben to take a philosophy class. Ben spends most of the episode loathing Greg in the most adorable of ways.
Greg is stressed about the review coming up at the clinic and accuses Felicity of deleting important files. Felicity pushes back, and Greg makes an apology – leading to a late night data entry session for the two. Excel + Chill date?
Julie is still coping with being triggered by Erik and confides in Sean.

Be blue! Fish and Melissa want to discuss this episode, but are so distracted by the darn piano music underpinning the Noel and Ruby scenes. Ruby's pregnancy test is positive, and the couple grapples with this new reality. Noel and Ruby go to health center make an appointment for an abortion, but in the end Ruby decides to have the baby.
Felicity and Ben get their punishments from Dr. Pavone: community service plus continued counseling sessions. Ben chooses the same community service job as Felicity - working at the health center - and then promptly quits the job after a run in with Greg, their new, arrogant boss. Dr. Pavone gives Ben excellent advice and a Pachelbel album to listen to.
Erik convinces the head of PopRocks to sign a record deal with Julie. But then he makes a move on Julie, who gets triggered about her previous sexual assault and pushes him away. Erik breaks the record deal, because it wasn’t just about her music after all.
Finally, Fish and Melissa come up with a viable idea of what Elena’s storyline could have been for the first 13 episodes of season 2. #GiveElenaAStory

We meet Dr. Pavone, and Melissa can’t contain her excitement. Felicity and Ben are assigned to start counseling with Dr. Pavone, which is just in time as Felicity starts to sink into the depression and uncertainty she faces as her parents split up.
Barbara Porter comes to town so Felicity can hear the news of the split from both her parents together…except Felicity already knows! Commence an episode full of posturing and bickering from Felicity’s parents and then the big reveal that Felicity’s mom and dad got married young because they were pregnant with her. Over a series of sessions, Dr. Pavone works with Felicity to unpack her experiences. This one is a tearjerker, folks.
Felicity and Ben fantasize about dropping out of school and traveling in Europe. Courier tickets to Vienna, anyone?
We get our first glimpse of Donald Faison as Tracy, Elena’s sexy new lab partner who is apparently single.
And there’s trouble in paradise with Ruby and Noel. She’s late! As in, maybe pregnant!

Melissa and Fish are switching optimist and cynic roles for this Twilight Zone tribute episode. With the most mixed feelings we have ever had on an episode, we tackle the purpose, value, and timing of this themed episode within the context of the early second half of season 2.
"Help for the Lovelorn" examines the idea of whether it is better to heal a broken heart by forgetting your heartache altogether – and with it, the experience of love. Where will Felicity come down on the debate? And what is in Meghan's box? You will find out at least one of those answers here!

After the holiday break, Felicity’s dad flies back to NY with her for “professional reasons,” then proceeds to spend every waking minute with or looking for his daughter, then throws her into disarray when he reveals that he is thinking about sticking around NY because Felicity’s mom is splitting up with him. (Note: We talk a lot about emotional manipulation and techniques for dealing with it in this episode).
Ben and Felicity are on shifts together again, and Ben is in a great mood – and even getting interested in winning her back – until the swim program at the university is cancelled and leaves him rudderless. Ben and Felicity blow off some steam by breaking into the pool with beer in hand. It’s all fun and games until they get caught!
Sean realizes he needs to declare his feelings for Julie…but can he do it? Meanwhile, Julie gets a music contract, which would be exciting, except her record label contact Erik is hitting on her. Will her dream come with a caveat?
And, last but not least, Noel is now a Teaching Assistant for a class Ruby takes, which causes some tension in their relationship.

Felicity is having confusing dreams about the men in her life and realizes that she has feelings for Noel. Noel and Felicity pair up on a final art project to draw each other’s portraits which gives Felicity an opening to declare her feelings for Noel. Noel declines, but then immediately begins to reevaluate and withdraw from Ruby, who approaches Felicity to plead for mercy. What a triangle these three are!
Meanwhile, Sean has some interest from a potential investor for Smoothaise! Yay! And then he doesn’t anymore. Boo!
Julie invites record label scouts to her open mic night, and – much to Sean’s chagrin – Eric Kidd from A&R Pop Rocks shows up enthusiastic to get a demo deal going for her. Fish gets equally enthusiastic over the actor playing Eric Kidd, Adam Rodriguez.
Mostly importantly, Ben panics over his American Lit final paper about The Invisible Man. Or was it Invisible Man?

Felicity is staying in NY for Thanksgiving and loosely plans to hang out with David – until Felicity’s parents drop in for a surprise visit and invite themselves and David (and eventually his mother and Meghan) to new Thanksgiving plans. Elena and Noel decide to host the big event, and the game is on!
Felicity’s parents start off judging the many changes in Felicity’s life and then change their tune to supportive once Felicity pushes back.
David is getting much more serious than Felicity, is happy – not freaked out – to meet her parents, and even drops the word LOVE! Gulp. Felicity starts to panic and kisses Noel as a reaction, which David’s mom – Professor Sherman – walks in on. An all-party fight ensues, leading to a David and Felicity break up.
The storied peppermint vs. wrinkled fabric home décor debate of 2022 commences.
Finally, Ben, Sean, and Julie are roped into working a holiday charity event for Dean & Deluca not knowing the part is being thrown by Maggie and her husband! Maggie uses the opportunity to publicly out Ben as the man she is having an affair with to retaliate for her husband cheating on her.
